Adventure Bound - - - - -

Today, we begin our little Colorado/Utah Camping Adventure.  

We are  headed to Moab for a couple days where we will meet some good family friends  , who happen to also have 3 children very close in age to our 3 kids.   I am really looking forward to this as I have never really been able to explore that area ;-)

On Monday, we will head to Lake Powell and join Grandpa & Megan (John's sister) for a few days on the houseboat....  THE KIDS ABSOLUTELY LOVE LAKE POWELL & ARE SOOOO EXCITED!!!!

 Next weekend, we will end our little adventure trip at Taylor Reservoir near Gunnison.  We are meeting some more friends there for some good camping fun!!!!

The car is packed full & hopefully we have everything we will need!!!!

Swim Meet 2009

This summer, the kids have been taking swim lessons over at our neighborhood pool.  Today, their teacher organized this little swim-meet that was all about fun and showing off the different skills they have learned over the last few weeks.....  

Every child was awarded a medal.  They were so excited! 

It was awesome to see how proud the kids were!!!!

Jack's HUGE Achievement!!!!

WE ARE SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF OUR BIG BOY!!!

YAY!!!!!

We have been working really hard on potty training for the past few days.  Although we have been talking about using the potty for quite some time, Jack didn't seem super interested (or so I thought...)  He would go in the potty occasionally and get excited, but it wasn't consistent at all until last Thursday.  I dropped him off at his little preschool program in a diaper.  When I picked him up, his teacher told me that he managed to keep his diaper dry all day and successfully went potty 3 different times!  Since then, he has been wearing his little undies and consistently going in the potty.  Not to say we haven't had any accidents at all, but it's been great ;-)  Over the weekend, we were able to venture outside with his big-boy pants and he did awesome.  Today he went to school in his little superman underwear and those same cute little superman undies were still dry when I picked him up.......  I could hardly believe my eyes.....

He is so excited and SO proud of himself.  He is also thoroughly  enjoying M&M's from the jar in the bathroom ;0)  He gets the BIGGEST grin/smile on his face every time he hears that pee flowing!!!!!!  

I just can't believe my baby is growing up - this is HUGE!!!

Summer, where has the time gone?!?!?!

I cannot believe how quickly the summer is flying by.....  the kids only have 5 weeks of summer break left and our August is really crazy-busy.  Earlier this week, I started thinking that we should be doing other activities besides going to the pool (which we have done daily since our little pool opened).....  

This week we had some little adventures and it was really great ;0)  On Monday, we ventured out to the Butterfly Pavillion!  The kids loved it and had tons of fun.  All 3 of them held "Rosie" the tarantula and explored until there little hearts were content!  It was a cool place to visit!!!!

On Wednesday, John took the day off of work to enjoy some family fun at WaterWorld!!!  We had such a wonderful day all together.  We were able to do all of the big family tube rides and the kids had a blast in the wave-pool!!!!  Our good friend Liza and her daughter, Anna Lucy joined us.....  It was a great day ;0)

A Family Hike - - - -

We're so excited!!!!!

WE JUST BOOKED A FAMILY TRIP TO.....

 DISNEYLAND!!!!

We traveled to Disney World with the whole Schumacher Family in June of 2004, when Gracie was almost 3 and Norah was a baby.  It really is such a magical place to be with kids.

Every time one of them see a picture from that trip,  they ask when we can go back....  and now it's going to happen!!! 

 All 3 of the kids seem like a great age to go right now!!! 

We will be traveling to CA for our 

DisneyLand Adventure in Mid-October!!!

We can't wait!!!!

Jack is super into books right now....  

It is super cute, he is constantly paging through books and always makes sure some are close by!  His favorites are the Eric Carle and Sandra Boynton Classics ;0)

The funniest thing are these glasses, he insists on wearing these little orange glasses as he reads.  It's absolutely hilarious - I would love to know where he got this from because neither one of us reads with glasses.  Too funny......
