Another Camping Trip with Daddy!!!

I had to work an all day event last Saturday.  

John decided he wanted to take the kids camping again......  

I feel so lucky that my kids have such a great Dad!!!!!

9/11 - We Will Never Forget.....

Today, September 11th  marked the anniversary of one of America's greatest tragedies....  We can both remember vividly waking up to the news on that infamous Tuesday morning.  I was 8 months pregnant with our first baby and scared out of my mind.....  all of those sad and confused feeling return every year as to why and how something like this could happen.  

Trying to explain such a horrific event has been very difficult to explain to our children.  I want them to know the events of 9/11, yet feel compelled to keep some things from them....  It's hard to believe how many people lost their lives that day......  I hope as they get older, it becomes an easier topic to discuss.

To commemorate 9/11 and honor the 343 firefighters who gave their lives that day, John participated in  a state wide stair climb downtown (www.denverstairclimb.com).  He was one of 343 active firefighters who climbed 110 flights of stairs with full bunker gear.  He said it was an absolutely moving experience.  At one point, before the climb started, they were instructed to look around and see what 343 firefighters looks like.  Again, it's inconceivable to imagine that many men & women losing their lives in such a short amount of time.........  Every participant carried the name and photo of a fallen firefighter who gave his life on 9/11.

It's Party Time!!!

We had a BIG Scooby-Doo 3rd Birthday Party for Jack on Sunday Night!!!

It was such a fun party and Jack was so excited to celebrate with everyone.

Suzanne (our adored balloon lady) came and surprised him and all his little friends with balloons!!!!  She also gave him a GIGANTIC Scooby, who he now spoons with every night! 

So much fun was had at his little birthday bash.....  I just can't believe my baby is already turning 3!!!  The big day isn't officially until Thursday, so I'll enjoy my 2 year old for 2 more days!!!!

Go Rockies!!!

We had such a great time at the Rockies Game last night!!!  

To make the night even better, 

the Rockies beat the Diamond Back 5-4!!!!  

WHOO, HOO!!!!

It was "firefighter appreciation night" at Coors Field.  We sat in a section with firefighters from all over the state....  It was awesome!

Nani & Poppi are in Denver to celebrate someone's 3rd birthday, 

so they were able to join us!

Everyone had a great time!!!
